5 Things To Do After Your Boudoir Session
So… you’ve finally made the leap and booked your boudoir session! The day finally comes, and you have a fantastic, life-changing experience!
Now what?
Believe it or not, is as important to me to educate clients about how to move powerfully OUT OF their boudoir photo session as it is for me to guide them INTO one.
After clients finish their boudoir session, they almost always say they feel powerful and gorgeous, and many of them say “Whew! I want to do that AGAIN!” At the end of your session, you will have full hair and makeup, and all the great feelings that accompany being in front of the camera as you embrace your sexiest self.
Here are 5 things you can plan to do after your session, to enjoy your experience to the fullest!
Have a Night Out with Your Besties
When you’re all dressed up – have somewhere to go! Tell your closest friends you need a Boudoir After Party and rally them to spend quality time together. While you’re hanging out, you can tell them all about your experience and they can check out your look too.
Have a Night In with Yourself
Are you more of an introspective or private type? Buy some fancy bubble bath and a facemask to make an entire day for self-care! Or grab your journal and write about what feelings your boudoir session brought up for you.
Take Lots of Selfies
You are totally feeling yourself after your boudoir session, and can’t wait for your photo edits! In the mean time, you can snap some pics of yourself to give your special someone a little preview, show a friend, or keep in your camera roll for yourself. For the best selfies, face a window in the day time to get great natural lighting, take one while sitting in your car, or hold your camera slightly above eye level in the bathroom and use any available mirrors to take full advantage of your best angles.
Plan a Date Night… or a Special Night In
Was your boudoir session to create a beautiful gift for your partner? If so, a date night (whether out somewhere special or at home) can provide a great preview of what is to come for them. If it’s a surprise, you can drop some playful hints that you spent the day creating something special for them. If they know the plans you had earlier in the day to have boudoir photos taken, spending time together will give them a sneak peak of what you look like in the pictures, and will attach a heartfelt memory to them as well.
Book a Therapy Session
I know… this one might sound a little different than the others. But it’s likely that your boudoir session will help you to discover some things about yourself that you didn’t know before. Processing the experience with your therapist while the experience is still fresh in your mind, can help anchor in thoughts on how to best care for yourself through life’s ups and downs – and truths to remind yourself when you need them most.
